Directors:
Kelly Colleen director
Kelly Colleen began practicing yoga and meditation in 1997 with the intention of finding peace in her busy life and challenging job as an editor of an up and coming magazine based in San Francisco, California. She took her first Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga class there and immediately fell in love with the challenging and fluid practice.
Her training has been influenced by many eclectic teachers including David Swenson, Richard Freeman, Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley and traditionally under Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. She graduated from her first Ashtanga Teacher Training program in 1998 and continues to study locally and abroad.
Kelly and Jason opened Flow Yoga in 2003 and together with their new baby Jack share the vision to create a fun, relaxing environment for students to experience personal growth. They also have designed and facilitate a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher Training Program.
Kelly's teaching style is Vinyasa Flow, fusing together elements from Ashtanga Vinyasa, Hatha, Power, and Yin Yoga. She supports her students to practice mindfully without judgment and at the same time to bring light and humour to the practice of union.

Jason Hagemeister director
Jason began practicing yoga in the early 90's in an effort to find some balance in his busy life and law practice. In the years to come the balance would shift until he replaced his legal career with those things in life closer to his heart. Jason maintained a steady practice in a variety of types of yoga - including Kundalini, Hatha, Bikram's and Power Yoga. In 2001 Jason met Kelly and they would go on to marry and open the doors to Flow Yoga Studio. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and Jason emphasises that yoga should be less concerned with self-improvement than with self-acceptance. Jason and Kelly have developed their own version of 'Flow' yoga which is firmly grounded in the Ashtanga tradition while incorporating what they consider to be the best aspects from the other traditions they have experienced.

Jesse Enright has been a student of Yoga for ten years and an instructor for the past seven. He began his studies with Sivananda Yoga before moving onto the more dynamic Ashtanga Vinyasa and the detailed alignment of Iyengar. He has studied and practiced under senior instructors in India, Australia, Canada and the U.S. Jesse was an instructor at DownwardDog Yoga Centre in Toronto for five years and completed their one year teacher training program before moving to Vancouver in 2002. His classes blend the challenge and flow of vinyasa with deep alignment and a lighthearted approach.

Christine Price Clark
I am grateful for the ways in which the practice keeps me sane, curious, on my toes and in my heart. I believe in deep play, bold living and good long cries. I am currently obsessed with writing and chanting and I am easily lured by food, karaoke and anything that smells really, really good. My preferred soundtrack is easy listening.
I began a committed practice in New York City in 2001. As an Anusara-inspired teacher, I taught widely in Manhattan and Brooklyn before relocating to Vancouver in July 2006. I have studied extensively with senior Anusara teachers, Desiree Rumbaugh and Ellen Saltonstall and continue my studies with Anusara founder, John Friend.

Janet Wallden
Janet Wallden has been devoted to the practice and study of Yoga since 1995. She began teaching group, private and pregnancy classes in 1999. Her Vinyasa/ Flow style of teaching integrates from Ashtanga, Iyengar, Vijnana Yoga and Pilates.
She has studied with many prominent teachers, including Shiva Rea, Erich Schiffman, Dona Holleman , Donna Farhi and Richard Freeman. In the winter of 2001 she completed the Los Angeles Yoga Works, Ashtanga, Iyengar and Philosophy intensive with founders Maty Ezraty and Lisa Walford.
Since 2002 she has been an avid student of Vijnana Yoga teacher Gioia Irwin, whom she feels has greatly inspired her confidence in teaching the importance of proper technique, form and alignment.
Janet teaches from the heart and feels her students are motivated in each class as unique from beginning to end, encouraging inner-pace, non-harmfulness and creativity.

Erica Gehrke
Erica's background includes gymnastics, creative dance, nutrition, Western plant medicine, and psychology. Her penchant for an integrated perspective of health lead her to a Vipassana meditation course in Dharmsala, India where she was first introduced to the philosophy of yoga. Since then her training has been influenced from a variety of styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Jivamukti and Kundalini.
Erica's classes are known for being insightful and challenging, integrating breath with movement and precise alignment reaching deep inside the core of yoga both physically and energetically. Beginners to her class will help you learn to breathe deeply and connect in feeling with your body. As you progress, you will become more proficient at safely tailoring each pose to work best for you.
Erica loves the practice of yoga for the clarity of mind and
peacefulness that comes from the breath flowing freely in the body. She encourages
her students to incorporate yoga into their daily lives to increase self-awareness
and to combine integrity, self-awareness and playful curiosity into life.

Kristen
Although several journeys to India planted the seed, Kristin’s love of
yoga dates back to 2000 when she stepped on to the mat at the Yoga Centre in
Winnipeg. Under the guidance of Hart Lazer and Jan Debenham, she began a teacher
training course in 2002, grounded in principles from both the Iyengar and Ashtanga
styles of asana practice. Life and love brought her out to Vancouver in 2003,
and the search began for a studio to continue her practice. Stumbling upon Flow
Yoga, Kristin felt she had found an approach and style in the Vinyasa Flow system
that appealed to her interdisciplinary background, both in terms of yoga and
her personal and professional experiences and values.
At Flow Yoga Studio, Jason
and Kelly introduced her to the joy and creativity of Vinyasa Flow and also the
introspection and stillness of a Yin Yoga practice.
She continues to be inspired
by her Winnipeg teachers, Hart and Jan, and has benefited from the wisdom and
insight of other wonderful teachers, including Paul Grilley and Father Joe Pereira.
Kristin is also a volunteer with Yoga Outreach and a student of Thai Massage.

Mara Branscome
Mara’s personal yoga practice began in India over a decade ago. Since then, yoga has been the most poignant, transformative, and informative force in her life. With a background in gymnastics, dance, education, personal development and Eastern studies, Mara is forever a student of yoga. She received her yoga certification through Trinity Yoga and continues to be inspired by her long term teacher and friend, Mary-Jo Fetterly. Her personal and teaching practice draws from several traditions: Ashtanga Vinyasa flow, Hatha, Ivengar, and Anusara Yoga, along with her countless hours of training in the dance studio. Mara’s sense of artistry contributes to the design of her class through dynamic flow, grace, strength, and vitality. She encourages her students to move from the “inside out” drawing upon true awareness of body alignment, breath work, and full presence and commitment on the mat.
Her inspiration stems from witnessing her students find the joy and challenge in their own practice. Mara’s vision is to make yoga accessible to all students, from beginners to advanced, designing a class that contributes to the awareness of each student’s unique form of expression.
Meghan Goodman
Meghan has always been in love with movement. She discovered yoga as a complement to her career as a dance artist, and has since been in awe of its ability to bring about transformations in the body and in the mind. Meghan completed a degree in dance from Simon Fraser University, and was certified to teach yoga at the Flow Yoga Studio in Vancouver.
Meghan teaches an energetic class, utilizing breath, flow and control while encouraging students to listen to the information their own body is offering. Meghan continues to be stimulated by many great teachers in this community and is excited to be sharing her knowledge of the body and her love of movement with the students at Flow Yoga.

Clara Roberts-Oss
All I've ever wanted to do is move, dance and let my spirit free.
Hailing from one of the bigger meccas of yoga, NYC. I took my first
vinyasa class in 2000 at Jivamukti Yoga Center. I had a feeling of
arriving home. We moved through postures seamlessly with an
emphasis of breath-body connection. The spiritual aspect of the
inward journey also appealed to me. I've always found movement to
be sacred. By allowing myself to dance, to pulse, I felt connected
to the Divine, to everything around me. I practiced yoga for a
couple of years and decided I should teach; thinking I could share
this love of movement with others. I received my certification at
Sonic Yoga NYC with Lauren Hanna and Jonathan Fields in 2003. My
unique sense of sequencing is influenced by my beloved teachers
Shiva Rea, Lauren Hanna, Stacey Brass (Laughing Lotus), David Life
(Jivamukti) and from my background in dance. I invite you to be
playful in your practice, reminding us that lightness is found in spirit!
